Descripción: Se trata de un workshop práctico de entrenamiento sobre seguridad, haciendo hincapié en chats y llamadas de voz seguras y cifradas. Se cubrirán soluciones para PC y teléfonos móviles y se incluirán todas las plataformas.

   2. Añadiendo cuentas

   3. Chateando y verificando huellas digitales

4. Errores comunes de OTR

   1. Cypherpunk's OTR != Googles "OTR"

   2. Diferentes dispositivos, diferentes huellas digitales

   3. Logging: Como no dejar una traza con ChatSecure, Jitsi, Pidgin y Adium

5. Antecedentes de las comunicaciones de VoIP cifradas.

6. Signal/RedPhone

   1. Instalación en Android + iOS

   2. Haciendo y verificando llamadas

7. Antecedentes de la mensajería de textos cifrada via notificaciones push.

8. TextSecure

   1. Instalación en Android (Signal para iOS ya incluye mensajería de texto)

   2. Textos para gupos en Signal/TextSecure

Resultados: Los asistentes obtendrán una comprensión profunda, no sólo de por qué es importante que usen software de cifrado en sus dispositivos, sino también de CÓMO funcionan los entresijos de la seguridad. También aprenderán vocabulario que les ayudará a usar estas herramientas, investigar sobre otras, y difundir el conocimiento dentro de sus comunidades y organizaciones.

Necesidades:  Un proyector y mesas amplias para que los asistentes utilicen sus computadoras.

Description: My workshop will be a hands-on digital security training, focusing on secure and encrypted chat and voice calls.  I'll cover solutions for mobile phones and desktops, and will include all platforms.

1. Background of OTR chat

2. ChatSecure

- Installation on Android + iOS

- Creating your jabber account with Calyx!

- Chatting and verifying fingerprints

3. Jitsi, Pidgin, Adium

- Installation on Mac OSX, Windows + Ubuntu

- Adding accounts

- Chatting and verifying fingerprints

4. OTR gotchas

- Cypherpunk's OTR != Googles "OTR"

- Different devices, different fingerprints

- Logging: how not to leave a trace with ChatSecure, Jitsi, Pidgin, and Adium

5. Background of encrypted VOIP communication

6. Signal/RedPhone

- Installation on Android + iOS

- Making and verifying a call

7. Background of encrypted text messaging via push notification

8. TextSecure

- Installation on Android (Signal for iOS already includes text messaging)

- Group texts on Signal/TextSecure

Outcome: Attendees will come away with a deeper understanding of not only why encryption software is important to use on their devices, but HOW these things work "under the hood".  They will also learn a vocabulary about these topics that will help them better use these tools, research other tools, and spread the knowledge within their own communities and organizations.

Requirements: A projector, and ample desk space for attendees to use their own laptops.
