Descripción: La International Women´s Media Foundation (IWMF) dará un workshop para entrenar y recibir feedback sobre la versión beta de su nueva e innovadora aplicación de seguridad para periodistas trabajando en el campo. Desarrollada durante los últimos dos años en colaboración con grandes organizaciones periodísticas, Reporta está diseñada para ayudar a los periodistas que reportan desde zonas peligrosas.
Resultados: El objetivo del taller es mostrarle a periodistas la versión beta de Reporta antes de su lanzamiento esta primavera. Durante la sesión, el staff de IWMF hará un recorrido por la génesis y las funcionalidades de Reporta y distribuirá dispositivos de testeo para que los participantes usen la app. El equipo de IWMF también solicitará feedback para futuras versiones de la app durante el taller y explicará cómo los periodistas podrán acceder a la aplicación una vez que esté lanzada.

(English)Description: The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) will conduct a 45 minute training and feedback session on the beta version of its innovative new journalist security app, Reporta™. Reporta was created in response to growing dangers for journalists working in the field. Developed over the last 2 years in collaboration with a number of major journalism organizations, Reporta is designed to help journalists who are reporting in or about dangerous environments.
Outcome: The goal of this workshop is to expose journalists to the beta version of Reporta before its launch this fall. During the session IWMF staff will review the genesis and functionalities of Reporta and distribute testing devices for workshop participants to use the app. IWMF staff will also solicit feedback for future versions of the app during the workshop and will explain how journalists can access the app and use it once it has launched.
