ON Autotune (Vox)

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Introducing Autotune: At Vox Media, we recently built an opensource system called Autotune (https://github.com/voxmedia/autotune) with the goal of making and managing interactive graphics and apps in newsrooms easy.

It is an easy to set up system that can help reporters make their own interactives without needing a developer involved. The main goal is to allow developers who create one-time applications to quickly convert it into a template that can be used by reporters to create multiple projects and graphics. It also helps newsroom share code more easily.

Since its launch at least two other newsrooms have started using it. It has helped reporters create good charts and quizzes in a short time. More on how it works can be found here - https://source.opennews.org/en-US/articles/introducing-autotune/

At the media party, we hope to introduce Autotune to everyone who is interested in adopting this for their own newsroom as well as people interested in contributing to this opensource project."    http://demo.autotune.voxmedia.com/
